Vintage Ray Ban Outdoorsman Sunglasses Gold with Ambermatic lenses Very Nice

Gold Frame w/ Ambermatic lenses, Padded Brow, Cable temples. Stamped in top of frame. "Ray-Ban" lettering on RH lens. "BL" etch on both LH & RH lens, near hinges.

Ambermatic lenses darken automatically in bright sunlight, return to amber in low light. Very Nice Shape - Original, Very minor micro-fine scratches in lenses, not noticeable when wearing. I love these glasses - Originally, bought them for low light, flat light conditions. Mostly, wore my other, G-15 Outdoorsmans when in the field and working. But, had to replace both of them with prescription Wayfarers, (as my eyes have gotten older). Ambermatic lenses change from amber - in low light, to B-15 (brown) in direct sunlight. "BL" (for Bausch & Lomb) etched on both lenses near hinge-clamp (on frame). Micro-fine scratches in lenses - not noticeable when wearing.

These were very difficult to photograph accurately. The camera also picked up dust, fingerprint smudges and sun / light glare in the process. Photo aberrations may be present, as a result. Remember, these glasses are used, not new - they are not "perfect" - yet, are rated "Very Fine" by professional optics shops.

Replacement lenses are available from Ray-Ban - but I have not been able to find Ambermatic lenses there. Note: Actual pictures of item listed.
