Vintage Barbie & Skipper School-HTF, complete-VERY nice condition! Today I'm offering a SUPER NICE vintage Barbie and Skipper School. This little set has been in my collection for awhile. Please read the entire description for the details.
The desks are in excellent condition and are sturdy. There is one with a tape mark, but it isn't very noticeable and doesn't affect how it stands up. The teacher's chair arm is a little bent, but that could be easily remedied. It doesn't have tape marks and it is sturdy. The flag is original and in excellent condition. The flag stand is a reproduction but it stands very well. The waste basket has a little damage on the back, but the front looks fine. See the photos for a better idea of condition. The blotter and globe are in excellent condition.The easel is in very good shape and will hold a picture, if you would like in your diorama. The inside of the classroom is VERY nice - no writing on the blackboard (which is usually found with these structures) and the color inside is still nice and vibrant. The pictures are all present, the easel in in great shape.
Five original books are present, but they have been taped or missing the backs. I have made excellent reproductions of the other two books - Spanish and Civics, so that the set can be displayed completely. They were made from my NRFB set, and they are excellent. I have also included VERY nice overlays for the five existing books, if the new owner wishes to either make a reproduction or cover the original books.
For the purists, however, I decided not to make the change, as it would change the set. The decision to change the damaged books will be up to the new owner. On the playground - the swing is in good condition and could hold a doll. The slide is also in good condition.
The table was missing one leg, but it was repaired. The big trash can, the plant, the see-saw are all very good.
The hopscotch board is a little bent, but could easily be flattened by pressing with a good heavy book. The colors on the playground side of the playset are also good. The top of the set in the playground (see photos) was repaired. The wing nut and handle are both very good, but there is the usual wear to the hole for the wing nut. The colors of the outside are also vivid and bright. This is a really nice set!Most of my items are previously owned, and many are vintage child's toys, so they are usually not'perfect' or'mint'.
