Old Antique Vtg 19th C 1800s Carved Wooden Swagged and Tasseled Shelf Very Nice

This offering is for an antique 19th century folk art hand carved wooden shelf with boldly carved swags and tassels. The shelf features wonderful high relief details and it retains an early if not original gold painted surface. There are metal hangers on the back that were likely added later than the work itself. The overall length is 12" and the width across the shelf is 10.5". The carved support measures measures app.

3" deep and the shelf top is 4.75" front to back. There is high point wear to the gold paint and the textured paper surface on the back side has scattered wear and loss.

Otherwise the condition is wonderful with very minor wear to the surface and a beautiful deep mellow patina.
