Vintage Harmony Broadway archtop guitar, classic Harmony H954 model made in Chicago USA in 1969. Fancy herringbone binding, deep warm sunburst finish. This beautiful guitar is in great condition with typical wear due to age and a few repairs.
The guitar is fully playable. This is NOT a wall-hanger or a project, it is ready to rock! If you're familiar with old Harmonys, it will play as it should and sound exactly as you would imagine: warm, woody and bluesy. These guitars are usually found needing all kinds of work. Well, here's one that is already done.
It has had the neck re-set and a few cracks glued and reinforced with cleats. Other than that, nothing was modified.
No "upgraded" parts, no cosmetic touch-ups. It's still 100% vintage Harmony, with 50+ years of honest wear. You can still see where the cracks were, but they are all already repaired. If you're not familiar with vintage Harmonys, please don't expect perfect intonation and modern feel. That's just how they are and how they always were, even when new. These are not instruments for delicate fingerpicking or playing high up the neck, they are meant to be played hard and accepted as "close enough for rock'n' roll".
They also do NOT have an adjustable truss rod like modern guitars. They are never quite perfect and require a bit more patience. If that's not good enough, then maybe you'll be happier with something more modern. But if you accept these old Chicago budget catalog guitars for what they are, you're going to love it! Look over the pics carefully, they are part of the description.
Any questions - just ask! Will be very carefully packed.
