There is also a separation in the green marble strip on the left side about half way up. The clock is a Tidey Furnace Clock made by Tidey Heat Specialties in New York. The clock is made of cast iron and brass with all of the outer parts of the clock being complete and in good shape. It does not wind up, the key doesn't turn.
The center knob that changes the time is working. There is a 3rd knob that the looks like it goes to the timer on the face of the clock but doesn't work either.
The clock was made in about the 1920's. The case is custom made.
I don't see another one like it anywhere. It might not have been made at the same time as the clock, hard to say. Sometime between the 1920's and 1940's.This item is in the category "Collectibles\Decorative Collectibles\Clocks\Desk, Mantel & Shelf Clocks".
