I had it cleaned back then and put in good working order. I have probably not wound it more than 10 times over the years. I have just wound it, and it started right up. I cannot tell you if it will be an exact timekeeper or not, but it runs strong. The clock measures 10 inches tall, 6 inches wide, and 4 ½ inches deep. The clock is wood, with a n ebonized finish, and brass hinges & top handle. The side glasses have an arched top, and their edge wood is gilt. The clock has a brass dial marked Thos.

The movement has a screw down dust cover. When removed, it exposes a circa 1890 Swiss movement.

So this is a Swiss continental 19. Century clock in the style of an early 18. The blackened wood finish of the clock has some shrinkage cracks, and finish chipping in places. This is a really beautiful clock, with a great small size. The crank you see in the pictures comes with the clock.
