This particular version is gold painted throughout, which thankfully a large mount of that is left. The jaw is manually lifted into position, revealing a small space to insert powder or a cap.The trigger is a "fin" underneath his jaw. Really nice example to round out any animated collection. 3-1/5" L x 3-1/2" H. 9V battery for size reference, last image. Condition: Pretty exceptional condition considering its 140-year old age. The body retains a lot of the original gold paint on both sides. Obviously there is some loss, which is a bit heavier on the left side than the right. The head has some darkening and oxidation with a little paint left in the crevices. The detail is nice overall on the casting.
The action works very well, with a lot of snap left in the creatures jaw. Best Offers: We're always willing to try and work with our customers, so a lot of our items feature "make offer".
