ANTIQUE 1920s RCA RADIOLA 60 Super Heterodyne Very Nice Untested Complete Radio. This listing is doe an ANTIQUE 1920s RCA RADIOLA 60 Super Heterodyne tube Radio. This piece is in great vintage shape. It comes from the estate of an avid collector, who stored it for many years in a temperature controlled bedroom.

The style & design are quintessential 1920s, this is the perfect piece to complete your room. It has a commanding but not overbearing presence, its size makes it a statement piece, but it does not suck the space out of your area. I have not tested this item, as I do not have the skill to give it a knowledgeable once-over, electronics-wise, before powering it up, and do not want to risk any damage. It comes untested, as-is, but I believe it likely would work after a quick look over, or immediately as is. I have been told you have to let the tubes warm up a minute on an antique radio like this one.

The old exterior cords are frayed on the outer sheath as shown in the pictures, but they are easily replaced. Interior cords appear to be in good shape. The tuner dial turns but is a little tight, I believe with some lubricant it would be good as new. The cabinet of this piece is glorious.

It has such a classy look. All the metal decoration pieces are present.

The wood has some wear to the top, but the sides, bottom, and inside top are quite impressive for their age. The top has about a third of the middle section (where a tombstone speaker sat) in great condition finish-wise. The outer parts have had some aging, as they were not as protected. They could be restored, as the wood is solid, or left as-is for some patina effect. Some people say these are almost furniture pieces, but really they are almost works of art.

This piece is a must have for lovers of 1920s items, fashion, technology, & decor.
