A very beautiful Japanese sword of the higher class of the samurai. Made by Bishu Osafune Sukesada.
This sword has the rare NBTHK paper. Tokubetsu Kicho Token (Espeially Precious). It was released on July 28, 1968.
This sword is signed on the omote, "Bishu Osafune Sukesada". It is dated on the ura, Genki yon nen hachi gatsu (made in 1574). It has a length of 102 cm. The moto-haba is 3.1 cm and the saki-haba is 2.35 cm.
The Kasane is 0.76 cm and the sori is 1.42. Weight of the blade is 725 grams. The full leaf length is 91.5 cm or 3 ft.
