Nice French, probably upper class Mirecourt violin, labeled Emile L'Humbert 1921(see photos). Made with a better varnish(probably oil) and heavily. Antiquated, head inked, nice tone woods. Very good choice for young, advanced talent with tight budget. It outplays tonally and projections wise any new china and old german as well as even better instruments in a price range up to 3000 just easy.
In overall very good shape for it's age signs of professional use, no cracks except old repaired hairline crack near button on on back and hairline soundpost crack on table, profesionally repaired and secured inside with cleats(see photos). All those cracks are stable and repaired long time ago and therefore does not need an attention.
There is also a small wedge inserted under finger board to raise angle to get even more power. Length of back 35.5 cm, very comfortable to hold, easy responsible throughout all registers, just made for player! Great sound and power , good projection, nicely balanced soundwith. For French instruments good darkness in G string, brilliant legato and projection. Lots of nuances and shades of different colours.
Not new, but still quite good setup (as owner explained made not more than year ago) new Tonica strings, fully ready to play professionally, ask video recording to feel the sound. Fully checked by luthier, no need to invest in a nearest future. Was until recently in a possession of good promising French player , who made a major upgrade in our shop. In a case you need - also simple nice bow can be added. The item "Very nice French violin labeled Emile L'Humbert!
