800 silver Novelty deer/doe flask. Beautiful and hard to find antique Continental (second part of the 19th century) novelty.800 silver flask in the shape of a deer/ doe. This flask is beautifully executed and very finely chased, the head is a removable stopper. We are not sure what it might have been used for, and what it would have been made to contain; it might have been used as a snuff tobacco container... We believe this figure to be German, and very probably produced in Hanau, but is is only marked "800".
