Very Nice American Royal Bonn Ansonia Striking Mantle Clock

Very Nice American Royal Bonn Ansonia Striking Mantle Clock. A good model by well known American clock maker Ansonia. It is missing its wooden board and gong while the dial looks in very good condition, as is the well patterned bezel. The hands are there and the dial has the makers mark on it.

The case is porcelain/china and has a painted mill/waterwheel with some gilding. The case has some crazing/firing marks and on the back the'Royal Bonn, La Hontan' makers mark?

Underneath were the wooden sound board would have been there is a chip/loss were one of the four nuts would have sat. The clock springs are good and fully wound and is ticking away well but I have not tested it for time keeping accuracy with the pendulum attached. It is however running with the pendulum on so may just need a good clean and service for it to run perfectly. With a new sound board, gong and a good clean this would be a terrific little clock by a good maker.
