Magnificent Antique Original 1880s Heavy Wool and Silk Bustle Gown Very Nice!!! This is a goegeous gown and pictures don't do it any justice. The fabric is a heavy wool cream color with large blue poppy flowers, shows much better in person! Two pieces in construction, the bodice is expertly lined and boned. Light grey silk adorns the the cuffs and collar, with lace on the shoulders and chiffon and lace coming down the front of the bodice.

Closes with hooks and eyes. The skirt is lined in cotton and velvet.

It has beautiful swirls of grey and cream colored chiffon wrapped around the bottom, just so stylish!! The trsin os about 7 inches longer than the front. This is wearable as the wool is very sturdy. The only real issue here are moth holes.

Most are small and in scattered areas on the ensemble, but a few are larger sized, the largest I found measuring a jagged inch long. These do blend in well with the fabric and truly are not noticeable.
