Absolutely Beautiful Model 168 Cathedral Crosley Antique Radio, Very Nice Wood

This is an absolutely beautiful Crosley cathedral model 168 antique radio. The model number is written on a metal tag on the chassis. There are seven tubes which indicates a quality radio. The Crosley name is written on the brass bezel over the dial.

The speaker cloth is good. There are beautiful wooden cutouts over the speaker that really grab your attention when this beautiful cathedral is sitting on the shelf. The wood grains throughout the radio are very attractive. There are very small amounts of veneer missing along the very back edges of the radio and are hardly noticeable and which are not visible from the front. There are four original knobs. The cabinet is absolutely gorgeous especially in the front with the carvings of the columns on the right and left and the various wood designs and wood grains throughout. According to the Internet in 1934 this was the top of the Crosley line for cathedrals and there is dramatic zebra wood veneers on the arch and hand laid ornate inlays along the columns. Its a very reasonable price on this radio due to the fact that the cord has been cut and I was unable to test it but hopefully someone can fix it fairly easily. Again its a beautiful radio.

Everything looks fairly original to me but one can never be completely sure. Please carefully examine all the pictures for details as I cannot describe every detail and don't hesitate to ask a question. Antique radios should be treated with care as the electronics are delicate and I can only tell you the condition as listed but cannot be held responsible for any damage after the sale. The radio weighs 19 lbs.
